1 Financial Education Milestone 1
How you've learned about money, how you prefer to learn, and how you feel about your financial knowledge overall. Context only; it doesn't change your projections.
How would you describe your financial knowledge? choose one
Are you more of an analytical learner (engineer type) or a conceptual learner (artist type)?
5 Protection: Insurance Review Milestone 5
For each coverage, do you have it? If so, we'll capture your policies. Your life coverage totals up and feeds your DIME need automatically.
The DIME life-insurance need is calculated in the report, once income, mortgage, debt, and education are all captured.
The DIME Method is only one method to help determine a client's insurable need. However, an insurable need of more than 10 times the client's current income may not be accepted by WealthWave's affiliated broker-dealer unless special exceptions apply.
3 Emergency Fund Milestone 3
The money you'd reach for to cover short-term needs and surprises.
4 Debt Management Milestone 4
We look for three things: eliminating your debt faster, lowering your interest rates, and lowering your payments. Often all three, sometimes through a licensed mortgage partner or debt negotiation, sometimes as simply as consolidating or transferring through your own bank.
Before we look at the numbers
Your debt
| Description | Type | Balance | Rate % | Min. monthly | Extra monthly |
|---|
The row typed "Mortgage" feeds the DIME need automatically; every other row is compared for Snowball vs Avalanche payoff. Leave a row blank if it doesn't apply.
2 Cash Flow Milestone 2
Managing expenses, increasing income, and becoming more tax-efficient (which can mean bringing in one of our CPA partners). The best place to start is knowing where your money goes each month.

6 Build Wealth: Retirement Milestone 6
Where you are today, and the savings path we'll compare. Your target age and desired income come from the Goals section above.
Assets & net worth
List what you own: home, other property, vehicles owned outright, precious metals, business, and so on. Enter any loans in the Debt section; the Owed column here just shows equity.
Your accounts by tax treatment
For each group, do you have any of these accounts? If yes, we'll open a spot to list them.

How much are you saving now?
This is summed automatically from the monthly contributions and employer match on your Tax Later and Tax Never accounts above. A common starting target is at least 10% of gross household income; the recommended figure below shows that benchmark and how your current saving compares.

Social Security
If you enter a known benefit above, that figure is used. Otherwise it is estimated from current income using the 2026 PIA formula (bend points $1,286 / $7,749; 90/32/15), capped at the 2026 maximum (~$4,217/mo at full retirement age). The estimate assumes today's earnings sustained across the career, so it runs optimistic. The official figure is at ssa.gov/myaccount.
7 Protect Wealth: Estate Milestone 7

→ The Changes to Illustrate
Here's what we'll model together for each milestone. Leave a field at 0 to make no change there. Your report shows the before and after for every step. This demonstrates outcomes; it does not recommend them.
